On Friday, May 13, 5th graders in their TES library class enthusiastically participated in a virtual visit with Newbery winning author, Kate DiCamillo.She is one of six people to win two Newbery Medals, recognizing her novels The Tale of Despereaux (2003) and Flora and Ulysses (2013)

Over 1200 schools and an estimated 50,000 students registered to join the webcast. Students as far as Columbia, South America to Jericho, Vermont had questions for the author. Students were excited to learn all about her latest book, Raymie Nightinggale
