Cooking Up Spooky Treats
Halloween was so much fun! This year our school added a cooking cart. Teachers and students may borrow the cart to accompany any classroom lesson, holiday celebration, or just for fun! On Monday, Oct 31st, a group of 4th graders from Mrs. Atherton’s (along with one 5th grader) volunteered to make Spooky Treats for their class. We found some wonderful vegan recipes on the website: “Oh She Glows Vegan Recipes”
3-Ingredient Halloween Apple Bites — Oh She Glows
We also looked through the wide range of TES children’s cookbooks. One of our favorite children’s cookbook is:
Salad People and More Real Recipes by Mollie Katzen author of the Pretend Soup and Moosewood Cookbook. It’s filled with healthy, step- by- step, simple recipes!
